Welcome to the Bray Strollers Hillwalking Club

Situated close to the Wicklow Mountains the club makes full use of this wonderful amenity with walks provided on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. At times we travel to other parts of the country; from Carrauntoohill to Slieve League, from Mt. Leinster to the Mournes, yes the 4 corners of the country, literally. Some of our members climb abroad giving the opportunity for exploring mountain ranges across Europe.

The club celebrated its 10th anniversary a couple of years ago and has provided a healthy and sociable outlet for many people. A quarterly Newsletter is circulated where people can express their views and keep in contact as to the various events taking place. While most members come from the Wicklow/Dublin area, many counties in Leinster are represented on the weekly walks. There has always been an international flavour to the club with walkers from the U.K., continental Europe, U.S.A. and even as far as Japan.

The club welcomes all walkers over 18 years of age. As hillwalking is an energetic activity a reasonable level of fitness and competence on rough terrain is a necessary requirement.

Different walks are provided to cater as best as possible for the wishes of the members. Each group arranges leaders and circulates information on upcoming walks.

If you would like to come on a day's hillwalking or want more information about the group contact us at info@braystrollers.com or call Martin Pugh on +353 1 2829909.
